Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must acquire commercial class B license with tanker endorsement within 120 days if not currently licensed
  • Over one year and up to two years of experience in related work
  • Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work involving lifting and walking
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Capability to operate sanitation trucks and equipment
  • Compliance with safety and health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Commercial Class B driver’s license with tanker endorsement
  • Completion of ELDT course if new to CDL
  • Over one year and up to two years of relevant experience
  • Ability to read technical instructions and compose routine reports
  • Capability to operate sanitation and large vehicles safely
  • Strong decision-making skills in dynamic environments
  • Physical ability to perform medium to heavy labor tasks

Job Duties

  • Operate sanitation trucks and vehicles for trash collection
  • Change out and replace trash containers
  • Pick up loose trash and debris
  • Maintain grounds areas by mowing, weed eating, sweeping, and cleaning
  • Steam and degrease containers preparing for repair or repainting
  • Direct traffic at transfer stations
  • Participate in trim crews and related sanitation tasks
