Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must acquire commercial class B license with tanker endorsement within 120 days if not currently licensed
- Over one year and up to two years of experience in related work
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work involving lifting and walking
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Capability to operate sanitation trucks and equipment
- Compliance with safety and health regulations
Job Qualifications
- Commercial Class B driver’s license with tanker endorsement
- Completion of ELDT course if new to CDL
- Over one year and up to two years of relevant experience
- Ability to read technical instructions and compose routine reports
- Capability to operate sanitation and large vehicles safely
- Strong decision-making skills in dynamic environments
- Physical ability to perform medium to heavy labor tasks
Job Duties
- Operate sanitation trucks and vehicles for trash collection
- Change out and replace trash containers
- Pick up loose trash and debris
- Maintain grounds areas by mowing, weed eating, sweeping, and cleaning
- Steam and degrease containers preparing for repair or repainting
- Direct traffic at transfer stations
- Participate in trim crews and related sanitation tasks
