Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- A 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience or a 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years of related experience or a Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive experience
- Holds and maintains certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and company-approved office software
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to make timely decisions
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to resolve workplace problems effectively
- Ability to process complex information
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with financial data and perform basic arithmetic
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field with a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience, or a 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years of related experience, or a Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Holds and maintains applicable certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Effective in handling workplace problems including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems
- Ability to assimilate complex information and data from disparate sources and adjust or modify to meet the need
- Effective listener and able to resolve concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests

Job Duties
- Assist in providing oversight of kitchen staff, outlets, banquet food display merchandising, and kitchen and banquet operations
- Work towards improving café, room service, lounge, and banquet sales revenues to exceed budget
- Be familiar with the general organization of a hotel and the function of each department
- Communicate in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist the Food and Beverage Director with forecasting and budgeting
- Maintain professional working relationships and promote open communication with managers, employees, and other departments
- Stay knowledgeable and aware of local competition and industry trends
