Job Requirements
- Must have a Class A or B commercial driver’s license
- Minimum age of 21 as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen
- Past route sales experience and a good driving record preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must have physical capability to lift and carry heavy items
- Commitment to safety and customer service standards
Job Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license
- Have a clean and safe driving record
- Prior route sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Ability to operate and maintain delivery vehicle
- Skilled in basic customer service and sales transactions
- Capacity to handle physical demands including lifting heavy merchandise
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Drive truck over established route to deliver and sell dairy products to customers
- Follow all Department of Transportation regulations
- Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipt
- Write customer orders and instructions and record sales or delivery information on daily records
- Call on prospective customers to solicit new business
- Prepare order forms and sales contracts
- Inform regular customers of new products or services and resolve service complaints
- Load and unload product at destination
- Place stock on shelves or racks
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays
- Issue sales promotion materials to customers
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise
- Stack and unstack items weighing up to 50 pounds continually and drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds
- Keep the inside of the truck clean and perform routine maintenance
- Work and drive in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner
