Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or relevant discipline desired
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in a hotel, preferably in sales or operations role
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and related software
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurance requirements

Job Duties

  • Selling and negotiating group and local corporate accounts with consultation and guidance for the Director of Sales
  • Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities
  • Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover to internal stakeholders to ensure they are successful in executing for the client
  • Be accountable for sales goals, monitor progress toward those goals
  • Attract and retain customers
  • Conduct site inspections and property tours with prospective clients
  • Conduct weekly sales calls in person with local clients or via phone with remote clients
  • Understand the overall market, competitive set hotels, local demand, economic trends and identify ways to sell against them
  • Use all sales prospecting tools proactively and enter all sales activities in required software ensuring accurate tracking and analysis
  • Ensure business booked is within the hotel’s goals and close best opportunities
  • Contribute to marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and/or introduce new products and services
  • Attend and contribute during weekly sales meetings, share information, set and revise goals
  • Navigate in the property management and reservation system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
