Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience in job duties
- experience from the transportation industry strongly preferred
- driver's license required, CDL preferred
- extensive knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety requirements
- proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- excellent communication skills, Spanish bilingual preferred
- must have a driver's license (CDL not required)
- must demonstrate strong commitment to safety
- must have a satisfactory attendance and performance record
- ability to read and write fluently in English required, Spanish is a plus
- the position requires using computers to communicate, write reports, and analyze data
- basic computer skills are required, training will be provided

Job Duties
- Knowledge of DOT compliance
- educate and train employees on how to perform their job safely and efficiently
- provide training on safety programs, transportation compliance and SOPs as needed
- monitor training records and/or manage them consistent with existing procedures in conjunction with the corporate training group
- ensure that divisions are keeping employees current
- keep an open line of communication with operations management to report on issues and trends, and recommend corrections including disciplinary actions as needed following training and safety incidents
- ensure the job is being performed in a safe and compliant manner by performing site safety audits/observations, and following up on potential issues to confirm corrective actions have been implemented
