Job Requirements
- Class B commercial driver’s license
- 21 years of age
- pass D.O.T. physical and drug screen
- ability to work without direct supervision
- ability to push, pull, or drag up to 240 pounds throughout shift
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- proficiency in basic math calculations
- must be able to read and write English
- effective time management skills
- demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making
- strong attention to detail
- coachable and willing to learn
Job Qualifications
- Class B commercial driver’s license

- past route sales experience preferred
- good driving record preferred
- experience in completing paperwork accurately without revisions

Job Duties
- Loading and unloading milk truck
- dragging full stacks of milk cases into truck
- dragging full stacks of milk cases off truck onto lift gate
- recording inventory of dairy products at stores
- pushing or pulling two-wheel cart with six full milk cases
- preparing orders for customers
- writing out customer tickets with milk orders
- rotating inventory and delivery of products in customer cooler
- stocking merchandise in customer display cases
- price marking of merchandise
- extending the price of customer tickets to collect money for products
- unloading empty milk cases from truck and counting ending inventory on truck
- balancing cash deposits with tickets and checking in paperwork at end of day
- driving company vehicles and delivering Prairie Farms products within surrounding area
- delivering to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, grocery stores, etc.
- covering open route needed for that shift
- collecting money from customers, making change, and recording transactions on receipts
- recording sales or delivery information on daily records
- calling prospective customers to solicit new business
- preparing order forms and sales contracts
- informing regular customers of new products or services
- listening to and resolving service complaints
- performing routine truck maintenance
- keeping truck interior clean
- issuing sales promotion materials
- placing stock on shelves or racks
- setting up merchandise and promotion displays
- collecting or picking up empty containers or rejected merchandise
- working in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner
- driving safely and courteously
