Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
- Clean driving record over a rolling 36-month period
- Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Physical stamina to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds
- Ability to operate manual pallet jacks transporting up to 2,500 pounds
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods and repeatedly climb in and out of delivery vehicle
- Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, kneel, crouch and reach as part of delivery duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years of related delivery or route driving experience
- At least five years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
- Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklift preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic product knowledge
- Knowledge of power and mobile equipment operation
- Ability to understand basic arithmetic
- Familiarity with POD or tablet scanning devices preferred
Job Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner
- Complete daily pre and post trip checklist
- Deliver products to customer locations meeting established delivery goals
- Collect and track customer returns according to service level agreements
- Load, unload and secure products ensuring they are clean and damage free
- Complete daily route paperwork and communicate delivery obstacles
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN practices
