Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
  • Clean driving record over a rolling 36-month period
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to operate manual pallet jacks transporting up to 2,500 pounds
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods and repeatedly climb in and out of delivery vehicle
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, kneel, crouch and reach as part of delivery duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of related delivery or route driving experience
  • At least five years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
  • Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklift preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic product knowledge
  • Knowledge of power and mobile equipment operation
  • Ability to understand basic arithmetic
  • Familiarity with POD or tablet scanning devices preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner
  • Complete daily pre and post trip checklist
  • Deliver products to customer locations meeting established delivery goals
  • Collect and track customer returns according to service level agreements
  • Load, unload and secure products ensuring they are clean and damage free
  • Complete daily route paperwork and communicate delivery obstacles
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN practices
