Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs
- Physical stamina to lift up to 90 lbs repeatedly
- Strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to use technology such as smartphones and GPS navigation
- Punctuality and reliability
Job Qualifications
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check per company requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older and able to successfully pass and maintain a driving record check to be insurable by the company to operate a company vehicle
- Must be able to safely operate/drive company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs daily for approximately 8-10 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 90lbs on a repetitive basis
- Must remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position
Job Duties
- Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly
- Familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers' requests to complete the scheduled route
- Complete all deliveries on route as scheduled
- Ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner
- Interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Address customer questions or concerns during deliveries
- Develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and the proper product handling associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and additional products as applicable
- Provide information about products to customers when necessary
- Complete customer agreements and route sheets accurately and legibly
- Perform payment collection from customers
- promptly turn in customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the end of each workday
- Adhere to the proper utilization of handheld palm units, while entering accurate information concerning the customer and abiding by all rules concerning its use
- Operate delivery vehicles safely
- adhere to traffic rules and DOT regulations
- Perform Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIRs) and report any issues to management
