Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 90 lbs repeatedly
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use technology such as smartphones and GPS navigation
  • Punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check per company requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older and able to successfully pass and maintain a driving record check to be insurable by the company to operate a company vehicle
  • Must be able to safely operate/drive company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs daily for approximately 8-10 hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 90lbs on a repetitive basis
  • Must remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position

Job Duties

  • Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly
  • Familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers' requests to complete the scheduled route
  • Complete all deliveries on route as scheduled
  • Ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner
  • Interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Address customer questions or concerns during deliveries
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and the proper product handling associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and additional products as applicable
  • Provide information about products to customers when necessary
  • Complete customer agreements and route sheets accurately and legibly
  • Perform payment collection from customers
  • promptly turn in customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the end of each workday
  • Adhere to the proper utilization of handheld palm units, while entering accurate information concerning the customer and abiding by all rules concerning its use
  • Operate delivery vehicles safely
  • adhere to traffic rules and DOT regulations
  • Perform Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIRs) and report any issues to management
