Job Requirements
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Valid USDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Hazmat Endorsement (H or X)
- Ability to operate a vehicle with an air brake system
- May acquire Hazmat endorsement or air brake operation skills as condition of employment
- At least 21 years old
- One year of Class B professional driving experience within last five years
- Clean driving record within company standards
- Combination of valid driving school diploma and/or prior Airgas experience considered in lieu of experience
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Valid USDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Hazmat Endorsement (H or X)
- Ability to operate a vehicle with an air brake system
- At least 21 years old
- Minimum one year of professional Class B driving experience within last five years
- Clean driving record with limited convictions and at-fault accidents
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in gas, welding, and safety supply industries preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders to customer locations
- Deliver compressed gas cylinders to external and internal customer sites
- Record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures for receipt purposes
- Collect empty cylinders or rejected/unsold merchandise
- Return empty cylinders to plant or branch locations for refilling
- Establish and maintain good customer relations
- Listen and help resolve service inquiries and complaints
- Provide timely communication to managers or sales associates regarding customer issues or changes
- Perform cylinder inspections per operating procedures
