Job Requirements
- CDL B or Class 3 license
- DOT medical card qualification
- Clean driving record with no excessive speeding violations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Physical stamina for climbing, standing, walking and various weather conditions
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Commitment to company core values and safety procedures
- Ability to use manual pallet jacks to transport heavy loads up to 2,500 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 3 years of route or box delivery driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with at least five years driving experience
- Proven track record of meeting safety, quality and customer service metrics
- Experience using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts preferred
- Ability to use electronic proof of delivery (POD) devices or tablets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, bilingual skills a plus
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Good geographical knowledge of delivery area after training
Job Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner
- Complete daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver products to customer locations ensuring timeliness and customer satisfaction
- Collect and track customer returns according to service agreements
- Load, unload and secure merchandise to prevent damage
- Complete daily route paperwork and communicate any obstacles
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN practices
