Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- proven driving experience with clean driving record
- ability to lift heavy weights repeatedly
- strong customer service skills
- ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely for extended periods
- familiarity with GPS and route planning technology
- excellent communication abilities
- physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to complete detailed documentation accurately and timely
- willingness to pass required DOT physical, drug screen, and background checks
Job Qualifications
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen
- must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check per company requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age or older and be able to successfully pass, and maintain, a driving record check to be insurable by the company to operate a company vehicle
- must be able to safely operate/drive company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs. daily for approximately 8-10 hours
- must be able to lift up to 90lbs on a repetitive basis
- must remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position
Job Duties
- Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly
- familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers' requests to complete the scheduled route
- complete all deliveries on route as scheduled
- ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner
- interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
- address customer questions or concerns during deliveries
- develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and the proper product handling associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and additional products as applicable
