Job Requirements
- Delivery driver CDL B or Class 3 license
- DOT qualification with medical card
- Clean driving record with no excessive speeding tickets
- Repetitive lifting of 50 pounds required
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to pass a satisfactory 36-month driving record review
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Ability to use manual pallet jacks and other delivery equipment
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina for climbing, bending, lifting up to 100 pounds with equipment
- Commitment to company core values and standard operating procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years of related delivery driving experience
- Route or box delivery driving experience
- At least five years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
- Proven track record of meeting performance, safety, attendance, quality, and customer service metrics
- Experience using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts preferred
- Valid CDL B or Class 3 license
- DOT medical certification or ability to obtain
- Experience using proof of delivery (POD) or tablet scanning devices
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Geographical knowledge of delivery area after training
Job Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner
- Complete daily pre and post trip checklists
- Deliver products to customer locations meeting delivery goals
- Collect and track customer returns per service level agreements
- Load, unload and secure products ensuring clean and damage-free delivery
- Complete all daily route paperwork accurately
- Communicate obstacles and customer feedback to supervisors or sales personnel
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN practices
- Train associates in delivery functions when necessary
