Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, biology, or related field
- experience or coursework in food product development or research
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- proficiency in data analysis software and enterprise systems
- ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- availability to travel as required
- completion of OSHA and environmental training
- willingness to learn and adapt
- attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Run pilot dryer
- understand science and methodology to spray drying and blending
- work on new product projects including conducting experiments and research
- develop specifications and product information bulletins
- prepare and present reports on project results and next steps
- research on-trend applications
- understand foodservice culinary applications by collaborating with development chefs and product developers
- assist with new product scale-ups at manufacturing or customer facilities
- attend and participate in international trade shows or customer visits
- develop products through fermentation and other innovation processes
- attend industry workshops for skills enhancement
- participate in ideation, package design, and problem-solving meetings
- utilize systems like Power BI, Salesforce, PCM, genesis, trace gains, SharePoint to analyze data and produce metrics
- produce reports and provide analytics
- participate in customer audits with focus on quality and regulatory compliance
- prepare and send customer samples
- maintain sample and raw material inventory
- participate in customer calls including prospecting and complaint resolution
- complete OSHA, environmental, ECO lab, and IDFA training courses
- research new ingredient technologies
- troubleshoot quality issues with food quality leader
- attend sales and operations planning and procurement meetings to understand scheduling and vendor interactions
- perform other duties as assigned
