Job Requirements

  • Medium work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to bend, lift, stand, and walk during entire shift
  • Must convey information clearly
  • Must listen and understand concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Long hours may be required averaging 36-40 hours per week
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • Willingness to comply with management directives

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Effective listening and problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies
  • Pick up trash
  • Change linen and make the bed
  • Clean entire bathroom
  • Sweep and dust guest room
  • Clean windows and balcony
  • Retrieve, stock, and restock housekeeping cart
  • Receive assigned section and supplies
  • Turn in keys and unused supplies
  • Respond to guest requests
  • Report guest issues and complaints
  • Report missing articles or damage
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities
  • Provide assistance as needed
