Job Requirements

  • Must pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and carry 30 pounds
  • must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities such as bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, kneeling
  • must be able to see and hear
  • must speak and read or understand English
  • must display professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • must be able to work alone and comply with all standards
  • maintain guest privacy
  • adhere to a flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • ability to communicate in English, with additional languages considered helpful
  • professionalism and trustworthiness
  • knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens, sanitation, and safety measures
  • ability to work alone and as a team member
  • multitask while maintaining service focus

Job Duties

  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready and return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • keep housekeeping cart clean and orderly
  • follow all cleaning procedures outlined in training and as per checklist
  • perform general cleaning procedures every 90 days
  • report discrepancies to Housekeeping Manager
  • maintain other hotel areas clean and orderly such as associate lounges, restrooms, and public areas
  • respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • know emergency procedures and safety/security needs
  • perform other duties as assigned
