Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stretch, crawl, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted
- Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Must pass appropriate security clearances
- Commitment to honesty and trustworthiness
- Must work on-site at the hotel
- Availability to work any shift including weekends
- Physical ability to perform major life activities such as standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, and communicating
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of proper handling of linens, terry, and cleaning supplies
- Understanding of guestroom cleaning procedures
- Familiarity with safety and security measures in hotel environments
- Ability to maintain designated cleaning times per room
- Capability to follow cleaning procedures methodically
- Experience with guest interaction maintaining a hospitable and caring attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional communication skills with guests and co-workers
- Ability to learn and use computer systems such as Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
- Ability to maintain guest privacy and exercise discretion
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in a courteous and professional manner
- Clean vacant dirty rooms and return occupied dirty rooms to a clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
- Maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance following grooming and uniform standards
- Follow established cleaning procedures and training checklists consistently
- Report any discrepancies or hazardous conditions to the supervisor immediately
- Assist in maintaining other hotel areas such as breakrooms, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house spaces
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism
- Adhere to safety and security procedures and emergency guidelines
