Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, stretch, crawl, and kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances
  • Commitment to honesty and trustworthiness
  • Must work on-site at the hotel
  • Availability to work any shift including weekends
  • Physical ability to perform major life activities such as standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, and communicating

Job Qualifications

  • Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of proper handling of linens, terry, and cleaning supplies
  • Understanding of guestroom cleaning procedures
  • Familiarity with safety and security measures in hotel environments
  • Ability to maintain designated cleaning times per room
  • Capability to follow cleaning procedures methodically
  • Experience with guest interaction maintaining a hospitable and caring attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional communication skills with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to learn and use computer systems such as Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
  • Ability to maintain guest privacy and exercise discretion

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in a courteous and professional manner
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms and return occupied dirty rooms to a clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • Maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance following grooming and uniform standards
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and training checklists consistently
  • Report any discrepancies or hazardous conditions to the supervisor immediately
  • Assist in maintaining other hotel areas such as breakrooms, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house spaces
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism
  • Adhere to safety and security procedures and emergency guidelines
