Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, pull, push, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25-30 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and handle supplies
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment, is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic communication skills to interact with guests and team members
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage is desirable

Job Duties

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms, including stayover and check-out rooms, adhering to established hotel procedures and brand standards
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and floors
  • Dust, polish, and wipe down all surfaces
  • Service minibar
  • Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
  • Replenish in-room amenities such as toiletries, coffee supplies, and stationery
  • Perform self-inspections of all assigned rooms to ensure they meet quality and brand standards before reporting them as ready
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly utilizing HotSos
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and well-stocked housekeeping cart and linen closet
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA standards, particularly those related to engineering and maintenance
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Handle guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Handle chemicals and cleaning agents according to safety guidelines
  • Perform the duties of a house attendant as needed
