Job Requirements
- Four plus years retail management experience with multi-unit responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Big-box retail management or equivalent education and experience considered
- Ability to manage full profit and loss responsibility
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
- Willingness and ability to travel weekly with limited overnight stays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead teams
- Experience in recruitment, training, and development of staff
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated results-oriented leadership and stewardship of company mission and values
- Proven record of achieving performance goals and objectives
- Financial analysis skills to interpret operating statements, manage budgets, and control inventory
- Ability to produce results through resource leverage and expense control
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with superior customer service aptitude
- Ability to provide good judgment under pressure and ambiguity
- Effective collaboration with teams using participative management style
- Four plus years of retail management experience with multi-unit operations and P&L responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in big-box retail or equivalent education and experience combination considered
- Strong competencies in driving results, efficient planning, customer focus, analytical skills, leadership, communication, and adaptability
Job Duties
- Lead store teams fostering Dollar General's mission and values
- Administer human resources policies and practices fairly
- Deliver superior customer service in fun and friendly stores
- Achieve area annual sales growth meeting or exceeding company targets
- Utilize tools effectively for superior inventory presentation and management
- Plan and execute company objectives efficiently
- Maximize performance and productivity through sensible scheduling
- Develop human capital through recruitment, selection, and training
- Protect company assets via loss prevention and expense control
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in operations and merchandising
- Communicate divisional and regional priorities consistently to store teams
