Job Requirements

  • People skills dealing with the public and team proactively professionally and positively
  • Able to be detail-oriented focused on guest service safety-minded trustworthy reliable and efficient
  • Food Handlers certificate within 30 days or ServSafe equivalent
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs bend stoop reach and push
  • Ability to stand for long periods and climb steps
  • Proficiency in technology reading and writing required
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors throughout the shift Gurus spend 70% of the shift in a temperature-controlled environment and 20% in outdoor areas the remaining 10% in kitchen prep or storage areas

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Basic math and cash handling proficiency
  • Food Handlers certificate or ServSafe equivalent within 30 days of hiring
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Greet every customer warmly and enthusiastically making each guest feel valued and welcome
  • Build rapport with repeat customers and foster a positive connection with new guests
  • Take the time to determine customers' needs offer additional menu items and upsell
  • Display a graceful sense of urgency when completing tasks
  • Understand all menu items
  • Consistently meet Cornbread product recipes and quality standards
  • Record and accurately process purchases using the POS system collect and process payments and apply discounts according to Cornbread standards
