Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • initiative in job performance
  • ability to work well in stressful situations
  • maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • effective in handling workplace problems
  • ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field

Job Duties

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • comply with company standards and regulations
  • be familiar with the organization and function of each department
  • assist Food and Beverage Manager in maintaining food and beverage costs
  • maintain communication with employees and act as a motivator
  • monitor and follow up on cash overages and shortages
  • maintain service standards through quality control instruments
  • follow up on accidents, problems or guest complaints
  • react to emergency situations
  • maintain disciplinary actions for employees
  • be familiar with P.O.S. system
  • ensure employees are attentive, friendly and courteous to guests and coworkers
  • assist in wage progress and productivity reports
  • assist in preparation of staff schedules
  • assist in inventory and reconciliations
  • ensure all side work duties are completed
  • assist in developing promotional ideas
  • assist in planning and organizing department meetings
  • initiate and promote sales efforts
  • assist in employee performance appraisals
  • maintain and improve food quality and presentation
  • attend food and beverage meetings
  • perform additional duties as requested by management
