Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or food and beverage industry preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work flexible daytime shifts
  • Basic math skills
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous

  • Proven customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and payment processing
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and splitting bills
  • Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Aloha, Toast)
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • Experience with fine dining or a specific cuisine type
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival, seating them appropriately and presenting menus
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, offering informed recommendations and upsells when appropriate
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation standards are met
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs and requests throughout their meal, ensuring satisfaction
  • Process payments accurately using our point-of-sale system and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and server stations
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth service flow
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required, including setup and breakdown of the dining area
