Job Requirements
- 6-12 months experience as a food server in a restaurant, casual or fine dining setting
- ability to engage with diverse populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner
- ability to remain calm in the face of adversity such as customer dissatisfaction
- ability to sufficiently communicate in written and verbal English
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a fluctuating workload
- demonstrated ability to prepare beverages and complete single-step food preparation tasks
- ability to comply with safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- math skills sufficient to properly adhere to production and customer payment transactions
- skill in interacting effectively with guests, team members, and managers in a high-volume, public setting
- must be 18 years or older
- must be available to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- background check and Live Scan background check required
- pre-placement physical examination required
Job Qualifications
- 6-12 months experience as a food server in a restaurant, casual or fine dining setting
- 1+ years guest service experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant preferred
- ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully and culturally responsively
- ability to remain calm in customer dissatisfaction situations
- effective written and verbal English communication skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- demonstrated ability to prepare beverages and perform simple food prep tasks
- compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- math skills for payment transactions
- skill in positive guest interaction
- working knowledge of basic culinary techniques preferred
- working knowledge of alcoholic beverages preferred
- TIPS California Responsible Beverage Server certification preferred
Job Duties
- Provide courteous and gracious service to customers
