Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of job-specific work experience including management or supervisory experience
  • possession of food handler permit, TIPS certification, and successful completion of DABS background check
  • ability to manage high-volume on-mountain restaurant operations
  • proven interpersonal skills for positive interactions with guests and employees
  • strong organizational and time management abilities
  • proficiency in skiing or snowboarding on mountain terrain
  • availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • capacity to perform physical activities required in a four-season environment

Job Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence including prior management or supervisory roles
  • food handler permit, TIPS certification, and DABS background check
  • demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced on-mountain restaurant
  • effective interpersonal skills including guest service, communication, active listening, and conflict resolution
  • strong time management skills balancing multiple responsibilities
  • comfortable skiing or snowboarding on intermediate to advanced terrain

Job Duties

  • Direct daily restaurant operations by managing staff, caring for guests, and resolving any issues quickly and professionally
  • uphold the standards of a world-class dining operation unique to Snowbird
  • conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with restaurant staff to foster alignment and accountability
  • meet regularly with the back-of-house manager to maintain communication and coordination
  • lead team meetings and ensure timely completion of close-out procedures
  • oversee onboarding and training for new employees and support ongoing team development
  • manage and maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • support accurate daily recordkeeping including sales, attendance, and tip distributions
  • create and submit bi-weekly staff schedules ensuring adequate shift coverage and labor compliance
  • maintain good safety practices and follow regulations for alcohol service
  • oversee overall building upkeep and cleanliness
  • utilize digital inventory and communication systems effectively
  • perform other duties assigned by management
