Job Requirements
- High school education
- 3+ years of experience in restaurant, catering, hotel, or cruise line management
- Ability to work 11am to 7:30pm schedule including every other weekend
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience in staff training and scheduling
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage financial reports and inventory
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
- Commitment to customer service excellence
Job Qualifications
- High school education required, college degree or hospitality certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in full-service restaurant, catering, hotel, or cruise line management
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of food service operations and safety standards
- Familiarity with POS and reservation software
- Ability to manage budgets and inventory controls
- Experience in coaching, training, and performance evaluation
- Proficient in organizing special events and coordinating multi-department communication
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resident satisfaction
Job Duties
- Directs service staff while coordinating with production staff to ensure timely meal service periods
- Enforces culinary operational standards for service, safety, sanitation, and plating
- Recruits, hires, trains, and schedules service staff and supervisors within budgeted guidelines
- Drafts and manages opening, running, and closing side work duties and transaction reports
- Performs inventory management and orders supplies maintaining par levels
- Assigns and monitors service area work including Front of House supervisors
- Establishes professional rapport with residents promoting positive dining experiences
- Conducts line up meetings addressing service and hospitality topics
- Manages table and station assignments coordinating with supervisors and hosts
- Oversees reservation system and coordinates room service needs
- Develops and maintains knowledge of POS and reservation software ensuring compliance
- Coaches and disciplines service staff and supervisors, reviews performance regularly
- Documents and tracks PTO, monitors time punches, assists with payroll
- Coordinates with Environmental Services and Maintenance for clean and hazard-free dining environments
- Assists with planning and execution of special events, themed meals, and catered events
- Maintains supply inventories and inspects dining areas for repair needs
- Reports on staff performance, supply needs, and resident satisfaction
- May perform other duties as assigned
