Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in restaurant or similar role
- ServSafe certified or willing to train
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must reside near Dallas, TX
- Ability to work in fast-paced dining environment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs
- Compliance with uniform and safety requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to support off-premise events
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in restaurant or similar role
- ServSafe certified or available to receive training
- Knowledge and comfortability with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Renowned time management and organization skills
- Working knowledge of a variety of cooking equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the desire to exceed client needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quick adaptation skills
- Firm understanding of food safety practices including TCS, TILT, temperature logs, and cleaning/sanitizing
- Knowledge of food preparation and service with strong understanding of BEO execution and production sheets
- Ability to multi-task
- Capable of producing consistent product in high volume
- Ability to maintain upscale guest experiences while managing fast-paced, high-volume services
Job Duties
- Lead the production, preparation, and execution ensuring dishes reflect Proof of the Pudding's culinary standards
- Lead to ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas
- Create and maintain the overall morale of the kitchen and culinary team
- Practice proper food safety procedures while preparing hot and cold foods
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of food contact surfaces such as dishes, small wares, equipment, and food prep surfaces
- Demonstrate professional customer service skills while communicating with guests
- Maintain the highest level of service, safety, and food quality for each event
- Monitor food quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining waste to control costs
- Support off-premise events team with culinary production, setup, and execution for high-volume or special events as needed
- Assist the Executive Chef in achieving financial and food cost goals, maintaining budget controls, and tracking culinary expenses
- Oversee all purchasing, ordering, and inventory management to ensure proper product levels, cost efficiency, and alignment with culinary standards
- Lead and manage the culinary team through scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching
- Maintain a strong front of house presence, partnering with service teams to deliver polished dining experiences and exceptional guest service
