Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Or a two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Two years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to lead a specialty restaurant kitchen team
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Capability to manage budgets and kitchen operations
- Experience with employee training and development
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Develops, designs, or creates new culinary applications and ideas for the specialty restaurant
- Supervises specialty restaurant kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures
- Maintains food preparation, handling, and correct storage standards
- Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements
- Communicates production needs to key personnel
- Assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and food preparation workers
- Leads shift teams while personally preparing food
- Manages day-to-day kitchen operations and employees
- Encourages trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Sets and supports achievement of kitchen performance and budget goals
- Investigates and reports employee accidents
- Provides exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
- Participates in training, mentoring, and performance appraisal of staff
- Analyzes information, solves problems, and participates in meetings
