Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods up to 8 hours
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays

  • ability to communicate clearly

  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • prepares cooking items
  • reports to work well-groomed in clean and proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene
  • uses maintains and cleans all kitchen equipment preparation and storage areas
  • stocks and rotates products on line to ensure shelf life standards
  • prepares prep items according to guest requests within company standards and food safety procedures
  • controls food cost by accurate portioning and food product preparation as specified by recipes
  • maintains cleanliness of kitchen prep coolers and storage areas
  • follows safety procedures and policies concerning food handling rotation and storage
  • performs line sweeps and cleans equipment as directed
  • communicates with managers and coworkers about product service deficiencies equipment and safety issues
  • assists team members including dishwasher and front of house staff with cleanliness and guest service
  • anticipates identifies and corrects system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction
