Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years managerial experience
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure
- Good vision and communication skills
- Ability to use hands for writing, chopping and operating equipment
- Ability to work in environments with heat, steam, smoke and chemicals
- Time management skills
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations
Job Qualifications
- One to two years managerial experience preferably in food service industry
- Passion and working knowledge of food
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to anticipate problems and make timely decisions
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and maintain guest-first focus
- Experience with staff training and performance management
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control
- Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Basic math and writing skills
Job Duties
- Manage back of house operations of assigned restaurant
- Achieve planned sales and profit levels
- Implement and enforce company policies and standards
- Provide direction to back of house staff to ensure execution of all duties
- Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned and presented properly
- Maintain inventory levels for food and non-food items
- Ensure compliance with productivity and service standards
- Manage facility and equipment maintenance and safety
- Conduct staffing, training and performance reviews for kitchen personnel
- Manage payroll, supplies, inventories, food costs and operating expenses
- Attend management meetings and make presentations
- Anticipate and resolve system breakdowns to achieve guest satisfaction
- Ensure thorough training and development documentation for staff
