Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years managerial experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure
  • Good vision and communication skills
  • Ability to use hands for writing, chopping and operating equipment
  • Ability to work in environments with heat, steam, smoke and chemicals
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years managerial experience preferably in food service industry
  • Passion and working knowledge of food
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate problems and make timely decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and maintain guest-first focus
  • Experience with staff training and performance management
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control
  • Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Basic math and writing skills

Job Duties

  • Manage back of house operations of assigned restaurant
  • Achieve planned sales and profit levels
  • Implement and enforce company policies and standards
  • Provide direction to back of house staff to ensure execution of all duties
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned and presented properly
  • Maintain inventory levels for food and non-food items
  • Ensure compliance with productivity and service standards
  • Manage facility and equipment maintenance and safety
  • Conduct staffing, training and performance reviews for kitchen personnel
  • Manage payroll, supplies, inventories, food costs and operating expenses
  • Attend management meetings and make presentations
  • Anticipate and resolve system breakdowns to achieve guest satisfaction
  • Ensure thorough training and development documentation for staff
