Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of relevant hospitality sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to travel and attend off-site client meetings
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry practices preferred
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of hospitality sales experience
  • Preferably based in Bozeman or Missoula
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to commute to properties
  • Extensive knowledge in sales and/or event management
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and business correspondence skills
  • Creative thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities
  • Strong personal skills including time management, planning, organizing, decision making, and delivery of results
  • Strong interpersonal influence skills including coaching, motivating, delegating, and relationship building
  • Solid grasp of mathematical operations and financial computations
  • Analytical mindset with ability to assess data and identify trends
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of hospitality sales platforms is a plus
  • Proficient in client research and industry trend analysis
  • Strong business acumen and ability to read profit and loss statements
  • Effective presentation skills for senior management and clients
  • Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays

Job Duties

  • Meet and exceed sales goals of assigned market segments through proactive sales efforts
  • Develop and execute sales plan and strategy targeting revenue growth
  • Manage key client relationships and networking activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities and client contacts
  • Report weekly achievements and adjust goals based on market conditions
  • Solicit and secure new business through outside sales calls
  • Participate in trade shows, promotional events, and industry gatherings
  • Conduct site inspections and client presentations
  • Respond to inbound requests for proposals within 24 hours
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively
  • Differentiate from competition by delivering unique client value
  • Implement sales plan based on demand to maximize market share
  • Create seamless client experience from sales to event management
  • Travel to properties for client site visits regularly
  • Work from main office once a month
  • Achieve assigned goals and objectives
  • Maximize time management and productivity efficiencies
  • Forecast revenue of assigned groups
  • Develop positive working relationships across all departments
  • Maintain professional client relationships
  • Comply with accounting standards and ensure accurate billing
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of standards, policies, and procedures
  • Attend required meetings
  • Achieve client sentiment goals
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
