Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen handling preparation and cooking
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a successful Pastry Chef
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative with a problem-solving approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, sanitation principles, baking techniques, and nutrition

Job Duties

  • Craft dessert menus fitting with the concept and locale while partnering with the Executive Chef on menu fit
  • Prepare detailed recipe cards and ensure consistency by having the team use them
  • Motivate, teach, and maintain a positive culture among pastry cooks by sharing inspiration and ideas
  • Communicate freely with other chefs and be receptive to feedback to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station adhering to DHEC regulations including tables, shelves, walls, ovens, dessert equipment, and refrigeration
  • Report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues promptly to the Executive Chef
  • Participate in employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure the guest experience remains the top priority in all activities
