Job Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years progressive culinary experience
  • at least five years in a leadership role
  • ability to travel frequently to multiple communities
  • ServSafe certification
  • ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • strong organizational skills
  • positive and energetic attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years progressive culinary experience with at least five years in a leadership role
  • multi-site and senior living experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business or related discipline preferred
  • ServSafe certified
  • demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others
  • excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing
  • excellent verbal communication skills with ability to interact with diverse individuals and groups
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to manage strict deadlines while juggling multiple priorities
  • strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications
  • strong orientation to older adults
  • strong organizational skills
  • positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy

Job Duties

  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of service, teamwork, action, reputation, and success in all activities and interactions
  • provide support and direction to dining teams to ensure quality dining experiences and compliance with Brightview standards
  • perform routine site visits to monitor dining operations and identify opportunities for improvements
  • provide coaching, feedback, guidance and training to dining teams
  • train new Dining Services Directors and support onboarding
  • provide targeted intervention and support to address dining challenges and resident concerns
  • monitor compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • participate in quality assurance and community assessments
  • lead implementation of new dining programs and initiatives
  • monitor dining metrics such as raw food costs and labor hours and provide guidance
  • collaborate with leadership across disciplines to support community operations
  • serve as interim Dining Services Director as needed
  • assist with recruitment and selection of Dining Services Directors
  • perform other duties as assigned
