Job Requirements
- Minimum of ten years progressive culinary experience
- at least five years in a leadership role
- ability to travel frequently to multiple communities
- ServSafe certification
- ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- strong communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- strong organizational skills
- positive and energetic attitude
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years progressive culinary experience with at least five years in a leadership role
- multi-site and senior living experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business or related discipline preferred
- ServSafe certified
- demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others
- excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing
- excellent verbal communication skills with ability to interact with diverse individuals and groups
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to manage strict deadlines while juggling multiple priorities
- strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications
- strong orientation to older adults
- strong organizational skills
- positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy
Job Duties
- Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of service, teamwork, action, reputation, and success in all activities and interactions
- provide support and direction to dining teams to ensure quality dining experiences and compliance with Brightview standards
- perform routine site visits to monitor dining operations and identify opportunities for improvements
- provide coaching, feedback, guidance and training to dining teams
- train new Dining Services Directors and support onboarding
- provide targeted intervention and support to address dining challenges and resident concerns
- monitor compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- participate in quality assurance and community assessments
- lead implementation of new dining programs and initiatives
- monitor dining metrics such as raw food costs and labor hours and provide guidance
- collaborate with leadership across disciplines to support community operations
- serve as interim Dining Services Director as needed
- assist with recruitment and selection of Dining Services Directors
- perform other duties as assigned
