Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to follow production instructions and standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Physical capability to handle demanding kitchen tasks
  • Willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties and responsibilities to meet varying client requirements and operational needs
  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes for food preparation
  • Ready workstation with all required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use utensils including knives
  • Operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, mixers
  • Use cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, steaming to prepare meals
  • Structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to established regulations
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • Keep work areas, devices, and utensils sanitary and germ-free
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and food safety procedures
  • Maintain safety measures for organizational resources
