Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Effective interpersonal communication both written and verbal
  • Physical stamina including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties and responsibilities to meet client requirements and operational needs
  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes for diverse dishes
  • Prepare workstation with all necessary tools and ingredients
  • Measure, weigh, blend, cut, trim, and peel food items
  • Use utensils safely including knives
  • Operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machines
  • Apply various cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Portion and present cuisine according to established guidelines
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and utensils sanitary and germ-free
  • Provide excellent customer service with a cheerful and approachable attitude
  • Comply with safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • Uphold safety measures for organizational resources
