Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Must complete sanitation course either before or during first year
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under pressure
  • Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to mentor and train staff
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules
  • Prepare production packets including production sheets and recipes
  • Direct daily food service activities
  • Maintain food safety and quality according to policies
  • Ensure safe and organized food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications
  • Maintain a sanitary environment following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed
  • Supervise and evaluate employees promoting growth and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Train and mentor food service staff
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Maintain knowledge and timely delivery of daily catering events
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties when needed
  • Promote good public relations
