Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum six months of customer service experience
- Knowledge of corporate office protocol and customer service practices
- Bilingual Spanish/English or other languages preferred
- Clear and courteous communication skills
- Good listening and comprehension skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- Adequate vehicle insurance
- Ability to travel within Wisconsin
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by post-secondary education or related training in social services
- Minimum of six months work experience in customer service or related industry
- Knowledge of corporate office protocol and customer service-oriented practices
- Bilingual Spanish/English or Rohingya, Burmese, or Arabic preferred
- Demonstrated clear, pleasant, courteous speaking ability and good listening and comprehension skills
- Good organizational skills with ability to retain and share program information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with typing ability of at least 50 words per minute
- Reliable transportation, valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and adequate vehicle insurance
- Ability to travel within Wisconsin
Job Duties
- Answer multi-line phone system and relay calls to the appropriate party
- Schedule appointments for program applicants and participants to meet with staff members
- Provide direction to appropriate partner agency staff or community resources
- Update and organize all program documents and outreach materials including intake files and confidential documents
- Translate documents as needed
- Assess clients' immediate needs and direct applicants to appropriate services or programs
- Assist in preparation of staff meetings, outreach events, and other related meetings
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence including faxes and emails
- Receive visitors and program applicants in a customer-oriented manner
- Maintain supplies and inventory by checking stock levels and submitting orders
- Assist in coordination of planned activities, workshops, conferences, travel and venue arrangements
- Provide technical assistance, training and support to new staff
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and perform special projects as assigned
