As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) in the world, our company is dedicated to advancing medical research by partnering with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. We operate four Early Phase Clinical Research Units across the UK and the US, specializing in vital stages of clinical development. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years related experience
  • knowledge of computer programs - MS Word and Excel
  • may require some flexibility in working hours
  • ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day
  • repetitive hand movement with ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements to operate lab equipment
  • occasional crouching, stooping, frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck
  • ability to access and use various computer software
  • light to moderate lifting up to 15-20 lbs
  • regular and consistent attendance
  • varied hours may be required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience
  • customer, client, or patient facing experience
  • knowledge of computer programs including MS Word and Excel

  • experience with security access systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all calls are answered following the company guidelines whilst providing a professional and courteous telephone service and ensuring that all calls are dealt with speedily and efficiently
  • provide a professional courteous reception service to all volunteers and visitors
  • use of the computerized security access system to update and monitor security access cards
  • ensure that on arrival all clients and visitors are logged in and issued with visitor passes where necessary and the host is informed that the visitor has arrived
  • ensure visitors are logged out and passes are returned upon departure
  • book taxis for clients and visitors where appropriate
  • prepare screening packs for volunteers for the following day
  • photocopy the volunteer's ID and place it into the screening pack
  • ensure a photograph is in the pack and take a photo if not present, printing and placing it in the pack
  • make up the training folders for new starters as required
  • prepare CVs for new starters and send out reminders for renewals then quality check returned CVs before filing
  • forward incoming faxes
  • maintain car park database
  • perform all other duties as needed or assigned
