Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- no prior experience required
- availability to work three 12-hour shifts per week including weekend rotation
- willingness to work one major and one minor holiday annually
- ability to communicate effectively
- basic computer literacy
- ability to handle patient interactions professionally
- bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Job Duties
- Serve as the liaison between the physician and patient
- answer telephone calls and determine the nature of patient and incoming calls
- schedule appointments
- route calls and take appropriate messages
- pull charts for messages
- greet patients and family members
- obtain registration and insurance data and update billing system
- facilitate patient flow into the practice
- perform charge entry
- manage referrals and pre-certifications
- schedule specialist appointments and diagnostic tests
- attend to patients using age-appropriate principles of growth and development
