Job Requirements

  • One year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers considered
  • Passion for improving patient experiences and care
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette required
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and high organizational skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • TB screening required as part of patient-facing role

Job Qualifications

  • One year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred but will consider candidates with strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, call centers, etc.

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Value-based care model experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
  • Experience with EMR systems (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Receive and route incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Accommodate visitors by issuing passes and maintaining visitor logs
  • Check in and check out patients efficiently
  • Verify insurance information and perform accurate data entry
  • Operate a switchboard or multi-line phone system and maintain long distance call logs
  • Take and distribute accurate messages to appropriate parties
  • Perform administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and managing courier packages
