Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum six months work experience in a customer service setting
- Ability to pass competency test in primary reception area and telephone communication skills checks within approximately 3 to 6 months
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work harmoniously and cooperatively with all personnel and the public
- Ability to act professionally with practitioners, staff, and the public
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to use email
- Ability to use and learn online systems such as electronic medical records and appointment scheduling
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks appropriately
- Ability to be flexible in daily assignments
- Ability to take and relay messages accurately and in a timely manner
- Ability to use a keyboard for most of the shift
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 3 hours at a time and frequently stand up and down from desk chair
- Ability to frequently bend and reach from standing and sitting positions
- Ability to speak and listen in person and on the telephone

Job Duties
- Greet and check in patients for laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, and X-ray appointments
- Accurately enter and release lab, radiology, and ultrasound orders in the system
- Rotate between front desk reception, call center support (Lab/Radiology phone room), and scheduling appointments
- Manage patient inquiries over the phone
- Maintain clear communication with patients and clinical staff to ensure efficient appointment flow and service delivery
- Uphold patient confidentiality and follow all clinic policies and procedures
- Assist in maintaining orderly front desk and appointment schedules
