Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Knowledge of shop safety standards
  • Well organized
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Preferred CDL with air brakes
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds
  • Capacity to perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, standing, bending, and handling materials
  • Willingness to work around fumes, odors, chemicals, heavy machinery, and safety hazards
  • Must wear uniforms and safety-related items
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Drug-free workplace compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts

  • Must be PC literate

Job Duties

  • Daily fueling of all vehicles as required
  • Documentation of all fluid transactions in log sheet
  • Daily pulling and dumping of fare box vaults
  • Daily cleaning of interior and exterior of all vehicles including sweeping and removal of graffiti and debris
  • Operating hand and power cleaning equipment such as vacuums and scrubbers
  • Daily check of all vehicle tires for air pressure and damage
  • Daily check of all units at fuel island for body damage and proper working lights
  • Moving or positioning a variety of equipment with yard permit
  • Cleaning vehicles at remote locations such as transfer centers or relief points
  • Performing basic shop and housekeeping duties
  • Completing required forms for entry into computer system
  • Other duties as assigned for efficient operation of the facility
