Currently, Creative Dining Services is seeking part-time Barista / General Food Service team members for its retail operations at the University of Saint Francis. This role supports two distinct yet complementary retail concepts: a dynamic coffee shop and a made-to-order deli location. Candidates who join this team will take on versatile responsibilities that may vary depending on their assigned location. The dual nature of this position demands flexibility, a strong customer service orientation, and a keen attention to detail.
In the Barista capacity, employees are tasked with maintaining efficient and positive operations within the coffee shop environment. This involves providing fast, friendly, and professional service, ensuring that every interaction results in customer satisfaction. Baristas will be expected to have product knowledge and educate customers about offerings, all while emphasizing safe work practices to maintain a healthy environment. On the other hand, the General Food Service role requires maintaining efficient daily operations in a fast-paced deli setting. Responsibilities include preparing and serving appetizing food and beverages, operating cash registers, upholding sanitation standards, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Job Duties
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service, creating a positive experience for every guest
- prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines
- operate cash registers, point-of-sale systems, and credit card machines accurately while following all cash-handling procedures
- serve food and beverages while ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation standards
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including counters, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and service ware
- collect and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas
- monitor food temperatures and assist with safe food handling procedures
- follow all company policies, safety standards, and health regulations
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
