Job Requirements
- Must have prior experience in non-fast food restaurant or culinary training
- Must have or obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days
- Must be able to perform basic math operations
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to perform with minimum supervision
- Must be able to regularly stand, use hands and reach with arms
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to navigate kitchen and dining areas
- Must have specific vision abilities including color and peripheral vision
- Must wear non-slip shoes
- Must have U.S. work authorization
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in non-fast food restaurant or training in a culinary school
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Physical ability to stand regularly, use hands for handling, and reach with arms
- Ability to lift, carry, deliver and serve trays weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to navigate kitchen and dining areas
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items according to recipes using correct handling procedures
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, review any modifications to recipes to meet quality standards with Executive Chef
- Test food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using proper ServSafe procedures and guidelines
- Perform food preparation and cooking tasks including measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving and portioning foods
- Maintain knowledge of menu including ingredients and how to build each dish to order
- Date all food containers and rotate as needed, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- Clean and sanitize workstations after each shift including food storage containers and ingredient labeling
