Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years culinary experience, must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits, possess a passion for hospitality, proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and repetitive manual tasks, ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, genuine, warm, and caring interpersonal skills, strong honesty and integrity, ability to provide and receive feedback for growth and performance, natural problem solver, passion for quality and professionalism, exceptional relationship building and communication skills, ability to encourage healthy and supportive competition, professional appearance and demeanor

Job Duties

  • Prep all ingredients and food products to fulfill prep lists, par levels, rotation, and recipe standards
  • Learn about inventory management, derive food cost, and culinary terms
  • Utilize various prep and cooking methods to ensure quick, precise creation of menu items according to JOEY recipes
  • Develop knife skills for efficiency and safety
  • Maintain prep and cooking areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner
  • Clean, organize, and maintain refrigerators, cooler drawers, ovens, prep and dry storage areas
  • Complete assigned side work and closing duties to support team success
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds
  • Report equipment problems and maintenance issues immediately
  • Adhere to all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures
