Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handler’s certification preferred
- Minimum 6 months kitchen preparation experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong knife skills
- Ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in kitchen preparation would be beneficial
- Preferably have at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant
- Exhibit exceptional knife skills
- Are able to work efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Read and execute a recipe
- Have the flexibility and availability to work nights, holidays and/or weekends
- A love of making great food
Job Duties
- Prepare menu ingredients following a recipe to produce consistent results
- Complete prep list, maintain station throughout shift, follow all specifications, and stock items as needed
- Rinse and cuts raw food products
- Portion products and follow recipes to ensure plate presentation looks great
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Prepare items for broiling, grilling, sautéing or other cooking methods based off recipe requirements
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Follows sanitization standards, ensuring work station stays clean and organized, and follows all food handling standards
