Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in kitchen preparation
  • 6 months experience in similar role in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • exceptional knife skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to read and follow recipes
  • availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen preparation
  • at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant
  • exceptional knife skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • ability to read and execute a recipe
  • flexibility and availability to work nights, holidays, and/or weekends
  • passion for making great food

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu ingredients following a recipe to produce consistent results
  • complete prep list, maintain station throughout shift, follow all specifications, and stock items as needed
  • rinse and cut raw food products
  • portion products and follow recipes to ensure plate presentation looks great
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • prepare items for broiling, grilling, sautéing or other cooking methods based off recipe requirements
  • follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • follow sanitization standards, ensuring work station stays clean and organized, and follows all food handling standards
