Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in kitchen preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knife skills
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen preparation
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant
  • Exceptional knife skills
  • Ability to read and execute a recipe
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Flexibility and availability to work nights, holidays, and/or weekends
  • Passion for making great food

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu ingredients following a recipe to produce consistent results
  • Complete prep list, maintain station throughout shift, follow all specifications, and stock items as needed
  • Rinse and cut raw food products
  • Portion products and follow recipes to ensure plate presentation looks great
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, sautéing or other cooking methods based off recipe requirements
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Follow sanitization standards, ensuring work station stays clean and organized, and follows all food handling standards
