Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant, hotel, hospital, or similar kitchen environment
- Ability to physically lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Must maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Must follow Department of Health safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent relevant preferred
- 1+ years of work experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commissary kitchen
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures, safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods and move within a kitchen environment
- Strong reliability and team function skills
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive work ethic with attention to detail
- Great attitude contributing to a positive working environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Duties
- Properly clean all areas of the kitchen to ensure that Red Rabbit is exceeding Department of Health standards
- Remove trash, cardboard, and compost in a timely manner making sure the kitchen is clean and free from debris for food preparation
- Proactively work to ensure the kitchen team is set-up for meal production each day
- Maintain kitchen equipment and countertops in clean, operational condition
- Support kitchen staff by ensuring all areas are safe and sanitary
- Follow sanitation and safety protocols diligently
- Perform additional duties as assigned
