Job Requirements
- ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
- ability to lift and carry 50lbs consistently
- ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy
- attention to detail
- basic math and english skills
Job Qualifications
- one or more years working in a professional kitchen, commercial kitchen experience a plus
- current health code certification as per state and local department of health requirements preferred
- understanding of kitchen sanitation standards and handling of cleaning chemicals
Job Duties
- clean and sanitize wares, equipment and facility
- organize the dish room(s) and ensure proper storage of all supplies
- collect, wash and sanitize dishes while returning pots, pans, cutlery and other small wares back into use quickly adhering to sanitation guidelines
- wash and disinfect kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
- remove and recycle waste and compost from the kitchen and keep receptacles clean
- perform other duties as assigned by leader in support of kitchen
