Job Requirements

  • ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • ability to lift and carry 50lbs consistently
  • ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy
  • attention to detail
  • basic math and english skills

Job Qualifications

  • one or more years working in a professional kitchen, commercial kitchen experience a plus
  • current health code certification as per state and local department of health requirements preferred
  • understanding of kitchen sanitation standards and handling of cleaning chemicals

Job Duties

  • clean and sanitize wares, equipment and facility
  • organize the dish room(s) and ensure proper storage of all supplies
  • collect, wash and sanitize dishes while returning pots, pans, cutlery and other small wares back into use quickly adhering to sanitation guidelines
  • wash and disinfect kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
  • remove and recycle waste and compost from the kitchen and keep receptacles clean
  • perform other duties as assigned by leader in support of kitchen
