Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a kitchen or similar environment
- Ability to physically perform tasks including bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Capability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual with strong teamwork skills
- Proactive work ethic with attention to detail
- Positive and can-do attitude
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Qualifications
- One plus years of work experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commissary kitchen
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures, safety and sanitation regulations
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the kitchen
- Reliable team player with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a proactive, urgency-driven approach
- Positive attitude contributing to a supportive work environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Properly clean all areas of the kitchen to ensure health standards are exceeded
- Remove trash, cardboard, and compost promptly to maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Proactively prepare the kitchen team for daily meal production
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order and safe to use
- Support the kitchen team by performing additional duties as assigned
- Maintain sanitation of countertops, cooking equipment, walk-in refrigerators, floors, hand sinks, dishes, and storage areas
- Adhere strictly to Department of Health regulations and safety standards
