Job Requirements

  • Hs diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must have a valid class a driver's license or a diploma from an accredited driving school
  • valid medical examiner's card
  • must have the hazmat endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 90 days of being hired
  • must be at least 21 years or older
  • strong background in gas, welding and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • detail-oriented

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in the gas, welding and safety supply industry preferred
  • forklift experience preferred
  • warehouse experience preferred
  • touch freight delivery experience preferred
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • detail-oriented

Job Duties

  • Loads and unloads gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off route trucks when needed
  • handles high-pressure, medical and liquid cylinders
  • prepares high pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling
  • performs basic cylinder maintenance such as inspecting, painting and labeling cylinders
  • checks for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and/or assists with inventory
  • complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases
  • maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance
  • safely loads, delivers and unloads cylinders containing compressed gases to customer's place of business
  • establishes and maintains good customer relations
  • listens to and helps resolve service inquiries and complaints
  • performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order
